Axle Details
The GM 8.0" axle, also known as the GM 8" or GM 8 Inch, is a relatively new axle that was designed by GM for use in their smaller SUVs and trucks including the Colorado, Canyon, and Hummer H3. It features an 8" diameter ring gear and 28 spline axle shafts. While the axle itself isn't as popular as other GM axle models, the fact that it was used in rear of the Hummer H3 helped give it some aftermarket support including several ring and pinion gear sets, heavy duty axle shafts, and a handful of differential locker options.

Note: This axle has a Carrier Break and gear changes may require a different carrier or thick gears.
