Axle Details
The Toyota 8" 4 Cylinder axle features a drop out style 3rd member with an 8" diameter ring gear that accepts 30 spline semi-floating axle shafts. It is available in rear and high pinion front axle applications and was offered with an option air locker. A stronger V6 version of the Toyota 8" axle is also available. When ordering parts for your Toyota 8" axle, be sure to identify which particular model you have as many of the internal components are not interchangeable between them.

Detroit Truetrac Lockers are maintenance free, fully mechanical, Torsen style limited slip differentials with helical gears instead of clutch packs (which wear out over time) to provide constant torque to both wheels while still allowing for smooth turns on pavement. more info
